Investment Advisor
Our client, a distinguished and forward-looking independent wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced Investment Advisor for their London office.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Investment Advisor, you will play a key role within the Advisory team, acting as a subject-matter expert for:
- U/HNWI (both French and international), by providing objective, tailored, and technically sound investment recommendations.
- Relationship managers, by offering strategic and technical support in designing asset allocations for their clients.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing bespoke asset allocations, integrating risk, return, tax, and long-term wealth objectives.
- Conducting rigorous analysis and selection of investment vehicles: mutual funds, direct securities, structured products, private equity, real estate, private debt, etc.
- Drafting analytical reports and investment recommendations for clients or their representatives.
- Actively participating in internal investment committees, market monitoring, and updates to allocation models.
- Monitoring client portfolios, including reporting, performance analysis, rebalancing when required, and long-term advisory support.
- Coordinating with technical partners (asset managers, custodian banks, tax advisors, etc.) in the execution and follow-up of recommended strategies.
YOUR PROFILE
- Graduate degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Asset Management, or Business School.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar role within a multi-family office, an asset management company, or the investment department of a private bank.
- In-depth knowledge of different asset classes (financial, alternative, real estate), allocation models, complex instruments, and wealth management issues.
- Recognized certifications are valued: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst), or equivalents.
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and autonomy.
- Ability to work closely with relationship managers while maintaining a strictly technical and independent approach.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in an additional language is an asset.
