JOB DESCRIPTION

• Define IT Strategy and provide guidance, expertise and resources for the cost-effective implementation of IT Systems and infrastructure aligned with defined business needs.
• Lead and advise on IT matters, suggesting appropriate, cost-effective business responsive systems solutions to the bank to ensure its business objectives are supported with the relevant IT strategy that will help the bank meet its business and technical needs.
• Prepare the IT plan for the bank and contribute to budget formulation in line with business objectives and ensure the plan is achieved within budgetary limits.
• Develop and appropriate policies and procedures for the IT function that are consistent with industry best practices and the bank's objectives.
• Research, develop and integrate IT components for the bank to avail new business opportunities offered by evolving technologies, to provide input to business plan. Keep abreast of new developments in the IT field, identify and suggest new systems and technologies which could enhance / replace existing ones cost effectively.
• Supervise the implementation of software solution and hardware infrastructure and obtain feedback from users to maintain effectiveness of these systems.
• Advise and guide other departments in IT-related matters (such as system functionality, design and related infrastructure) whenever required.
• Review and analyze proposals from vendors, consultants and suppliers, select the most suitable partners and negotiate with them to obtain best commercial and technical deal for the bank.
• Install and oversee the management of IT Help Desk to provide support to internal IT services users on reported hardware, software and network problems.
• Implement suitable measures and guidelines for data integrity, confidentiality of access and protection of technology environment from malware and intrusions.
• Manage and guide the IT department employees, ensuring they are given required training, monitoring their performance and making possible their professional development to unleash their full potential.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• You hold a relevant Degree preferably in Information Technology, having a Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology is an advantage.
• You have at least 12 years of experience across the IT spectrum with at least 5 years in a senior/managerial role, with an exposure to software solutions and basics of hardware/networking.

YOUR SKILLS

• You have a good understanding and knowledge of banking operations and software applications within the banking field.
• You have proven leadership and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• You are an analytical thinker, are able to take initiatives, and possess good planning, organisaition and report-writing skills.
• You speak English and Arabic fluently.
