Our client a distinguished and globally recognized financial entity, deeply rooted in the international market, is actively seeking a Senior Private Banker - Spanish Desk to join their team in Geneva.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Client Relationship Management, Client Acquisition & Retention:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) from Spain and Spanish-speaking regions.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing personalized wealth management and financial advisory services.
Investment Strategy & Advisory, Crisis Management & Problem Resolution:
- Provide expert investment advice and develop tailored financial strategies based on clients' objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizons.
- Monitor financial markets and economic trends to recommend appropriate investment opportunities in both local and international markets.
- Develop solutions to address complex client requests, financial challenges, or unforeseen events.
Cross-Selling, Business Development & Compliance:
- Identify new business opportunities and work closely with other teams (e.g., fiduciary, tax, legal) to cross-sell products and services that meet clients' needs.
- Proactively engage with potential clients through networking, events, and referrals.
- Ensure all client transactions and activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal bank policies.
Market Insight & Expertise:
- Stay updated on financial trends, investment products, and regulatory changes affecting the Spanish market and broader wealth management industry.
- Provide clients with expert insights into Spanish economic conditions, tax laws, and investment opportunities.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), or equivalent are highly desirable).
- 10+ years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or financial advisory, with a strong focus on HNW/UHNW clients with proven track-record of managing Spanish market.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth management products and services, including investments, portfolio management, and financial planning.
- Expertise in asset allocation, risk management, and estate planning tailored to HNWIs and UHNWIs.
- Experience in advising clients on global markets, tax optimization, and multi-jurisdictional wealth structuring.
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals and effectively manage client expectations.
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate fluently in both business and casual settings.
- Strong cultural understanding of Spanish clients and the ability to tailor communication and services to meet their specific needs
- Ability to work on complex transactions and high-value deals with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Ability to track and follow up on client requests, documentation, and regulatory requirements meticulously.
- Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with internal teams, including compliance, legal, investment, and tax specialists.
